Launched in 2000, the Bandwidth Barn is CiTi’s flagship location and where most of its programmes and events are held. The Barn, as it’s commonly referred to, provides infrastructure support and incubation for tech and tech-enabled businesses to grow and connect in Cape Town.
At the Bandwidth Barn, entrepreneurs can utilise a wide range of facilities, such as a shared working space, meeting rooms, board rooms, and event rooms. They also have access to business experts and mentors.
The Bandwidth Barn has incubated over a hundred companies since its inception, such as Outsourced CFO, WhereIsMyTransport, WomEng, and TOMPSA. It is also home to Barclays Rise, Thomson Reuters Labs – Cape Town, and a range of 23 companies from a mix of different sectors.
As part of its ever-growing ecosystem, CiTi launched The Basement, which facilitates digital nomad entrepreneurs with an office to easily work from.
