Women in Oil and Energy South Africa
WOESA’s first priority is to facilitate women’s participation in business opportunities in the oil, gas and energy sector in South Africa as black women in South Africa have either been at the lowest end of any form of business opportunity, or totally excluded. It therefore is imperative for women to focus cohesively on addressing their unique position in order to address these facts.
The establishment of the new department of Energy presents greater opportunity for WOESA’s mandate to expand to include all forms of energy and to reach a broader community of women entrepreneurs.
WOESA Investments (Pty) Ltd, the commercial vehicle of WOESA Sec 21, and WIH was set up to ensure financial sustainability and to facilitate and promote business opportunities for South African women in the Oil and Energy sector.
WOESA Energy provides turnkey solutions to the power and energy sector and offers a platform for member companies to do business within these sectors. WOESA Energy is the only broad based black woman owned entity that mainly focuses on the Energy Sector.
