- All the programmes listed below receive a large amount of applications when open. When applications are opened they are promoted on our social channels and this website. Due to the high volume the applications are generally only open for a short period of time.
- Due to the nature of our and our member businesses we do not accept walk-in meetings at our Labs. To access support please apply to the programmes below. To discuss other matters please contact us to schedule a meeting.

For Aspiring Developers: Learn to Code
Join one of our own or partner coding academies.
CodeTribe in Tshwane, Soweto & Tembisa
CodeTribe is a full time practical programme focusing on Android, SCRUM Agile and Cloud technologies. Bursaries are awarded to qualifying students.
The CodeTribe academic season is currently underway and applications will again open in February 2017 for the new academic year. We will also be announcing further expansion of new academies in partnership with The Innovation Hub so follow us on twitter @mlabsa for announcements.
We are happy to announce that applications are open for students in Tembisa who want to participate in a course on Android.
CodeX in Cape Town
codeX is a full-time apprenticeship 9 to 5, every weekday. Very quickly, you’ll build real projects for real companies. You might even get paid for them as you grow your skills, and commit to working for our partners for a time at the end (if they want to hire you). codeX guides you and gives you a safe space to experiment and grow.
For Startup Founders: Build a Technology Startup
Join one of our mLabs to access hosted support and services for your new startup.
Startups are selected through an application process that includes specialised sector programmes or the following startup programmes: GAP ICT, SLUSH, APPS FUND, reHealth Africa or DEMOLA

For University Students & Unemployed Graduates: Co-Create Innovative Solutions with Industry Partners
DEMOLA is a co-creation programme that matches multi disciplinary university students and unemployed graduates to partner on creating innovative solutions for real industry challenges. Qualifying participants get to work with industry representatives and ultimately own the Intellectual Property. DEMOLA is the perfect programme to gain experience, differentiate yourself in the jobs market or create the IP on which you can build a startup.
Early Stage Funding
App startups, including those who focus on mobile, Internet of Things and wearable devices, can apply to participate in dedicated boot camps to define their concept, validation processes, resource and funding requirement and qualify to pitch for grants of up to R500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Rand).
