CoachLab
CoachLab is a 12 month leadership and skills development programme that aims to bridge the gap between the academic studies and the business world. The programme encourages participants to take initiative and work in a team to deliver value-adding solutions to real-time industry projects.
CoachLab is a partnership between The Innovation Hub, industry, training providers and academia which are aimed at instilling business principles and the value of innovative and entrepreneurial thinking amongst the participating postgraduate students through mentorship.
The sponsoring partners invest their skills, time and knowledge to create optimum learning experience for the programme participants. These sponsors also provide the project work, mentorship and supervision and they gain access to highly skilled post-graduates. The university partners provide academic oversight and form links with industry.
Green Learnership Programme
The Innovation Hub is offering students with an entrepreneurial spirit the opportunity to bring about innovation within a corporate environment. The programme comprises of comprehensive training that will ensure students acquire technical skills, soft skills, professional skills and personal development.
The duration of the programme is 12 months, after which the participants will be ready to start their own small businesses with the support of The Innovation Hub’s Climate Innovation Centre (“CIC”) which is a business accelerator for companies in the green industry. The mandate of the CIC is to support innovators, entrepreneurs and SMMEs in the development of cutting-edge technologies and business models that effect climate change & sustainable environmental solutions that address local challenges.
