Enterprise Development (ED): Intensive business development support and mentorship designed to fast-track the development of high potential businesses.
- Target Entrepreneur: Early stage businesses not necessarily competing in supply chains
- Duration: 8 months
- Scorecard Points: 5 points (1% NPAT)
Supplier Development (SD): Specialist masterclasses combined with intensive coaching and sector specific mentorship. The SD programme focuses on ensuring businesses are ready to compete in corporate supply chains and includes access to a supplier relationship manager to facilitate business opportunities.
- Target Entrepreneur: SMMEs that are part of the supply chain of the corporate
- Duration: 12 months
- Scorecard Points: 10 points (2% NPAT)
Access to finance: Experienced entrepreneurs and mentors work with the businesses weekly to translate training into practical application, track key performance measures, address industry specific challenges and create opportunities for market access and funding.
Source and Recruit Entrepreneurs: Our stringent recruitment process, which includes an intensive three part assessment, identifies high potential entrepreneurs that will be able to effectively compete in your supply chain.
Training: Seed Academy‘s training is targeted at each entrepreneur’s specific business and stage of development.

- TBD Ideation provides entrepreneurs with an introduction to entrepreneurship and basic skills to help evaluate and build their idea to be a viable business concept
- TBD Build & Grow prepares entrepreneurs who have viable business ideas with solid systems and processes to grow the business and gets them investor ready
- TBD Grow & Scale equips entrepreneurs with existing businesses to grow exponentially and compete in corporate supply chains
Business support and mentorship: Experienced entrepreneurs and mentors work with the businesses weekly to translate training into practical application, track key performance measures, address industry specific challenges and create opportunities for market access and funding.
Change management: In order for transformation to be effective there needs to be buy-in from all impacted parties. Seed Academy serves as the ‘glue’ between the business units (internal customers) and the entrepreneurs (potential supplier). We work with the internal customer to understand not only their requirements of the supplier but also what they are required to deliver for the organization. We then work with entrepreneurs so they fully understand these requirements, the KPI’s against which they will be measured and the processes and procedures of the client.
Access to markets: Access to markets is one of the biggest challenges facing entrepreneurs and a key requirement to enable business growth. We provide entrepreneurs with market access opportunities through our ecosystem of mentors, industry experts, subject matter experts, successful start-ups and Alumni, as well as access to supply chains through our strong relationships with corporates and Government entities.
